The Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur District
Subject: Appeal for the arrest of Mr. Nengkhokam @Robin and his team.
I, the undersigned would like to bring to your kind information that I had been abducted by Nengkhokam @Robin and his team of armed men at Red Cross Road in broad day light at around 3:00 pm yesterday using a car and a moped. I could see the faces of two of the abductors namely Nengkhokam @ Robin and Daiminlun Zou. The abductors dragged me inside a Silver Alto car and bound my hands behind my back as well as blindfolded me, from this point I was continuously tortured inside the vehicle. Still blindfolded and tied to a window grill, I was kept in a Semi Pucca house still under construction somewhere close to Lanva river in Bungmual where 4 armed men took turns in torturing me. The abductors used Paite and Zou dialect.
I could not but, say that it was only through divine intervention that I could somehow manage to escape their captivity at around 1:00 am and sprint for my life. On my way out. I could recollect a few details such as traditional Bamboo gate, and a semi pucca house under construction where I was kept and another house in the same compound with tin roofing and Rhino tile walls where the commander sleeps. The location seemed to be close to a motor able road as I was being pursued for some distance but lack of visibility saved me as I hid in a bush under the cover of darkness. At the same hour of my escape, my wife who was at home received a phone call from Mr. Nengkhokam @ Robin, threatening to kill everyone in our family if she did not withdraw the FIR (06 (01) 2019 CCP-PS u/s 365/34 IPC) she had lodged and if she speak a word of my abduction to anyone or publicize about it in social media.
As of today, I was told by near and dear ones that the same team had been running around town in the same car looking for me. Traumatize, physically weak and tired from all the torture, I write to you with much hope and faith that you would please initiate the arrest of the abductors and that normalcy, peace and the rule of law may prevail soon.
