Comrade Nicholas Khupsianmuang (1981-2020)
How much we wish this day has never come. How much we wish this life is like a tape recorder where we can rewind, and play those joyous moments with you, again and again and again.
On this saddest moment, we remember the great deeds you have accomplished, the yeoman services you have rendered to humanity through one of the esteemed financial institutions, the silly jokes and light moments that you shared with all of us which makes us laugh with teary eyes. Oh No, we will never be able to recall all the precious memories we had with you.
But it is nature that we should go one after another beyond that pearly gates. Today, you have gone ahead of us. And we believe you will be waiting there with an open arm to receive us one after another. It is heartbreaking to see you go so soon. It is not at all a time, indeed there will never be a time, that we would want you to leave us.
Though painful, though it is hard to comprehend with this mortal mind, we comfort ourselves with the words of prophet Isaiah, *”Merciful men are taken away, while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil”* (Isaiah 57:1b).
Comrade, you are fortunate. You have always been the luckiest amongst us. Heaven has shown favour upon you and receive you to be away from this turbulent world. But we fail to understand why you leave us so soon. We ask again and again Why! Why! Why?
Comrade, with a heavy heart and incomprehensible mind, today, we are compelled to say “Adieu!”
Adieu till we meet in the next life! And may the comfort and guidance and blessings be always with the bereaved family and with all your comrades here.
