ZOMI RE UNIFICATION FRONT (ZRF)
Motto : Survival For Unity
March 15, 2019
General Secretary, UPF
Subject: Non-Acceptance of United People’s Front’s decision dated March 13, 2019 held at Guwahati, Assam
The expulsion of Pu Thanglianpau, the incumbent Chairman of United People’s Front (UPF) is most regrettable and unacceptable to say the least.
The UPF was formed for a common political objective and common political solution. The Constitution of UPF clearly stated that any resolution adopted by the Front shall be unanimous (Art. 6 of the UPF Constitution).
The decision of UPF was irrational and unconstitutional of the UPF. The Zomi Re-Unification Front (ZRF) was neither invited for the meeting nor apart of the signatory for the cooked resolution adopted by unanimous deficit members of UPF held at Guwahati on March 13, 2019.
It is also factually incorrect to accuse Zomi Re-unification Organisation (ZRO) for undue influence exerted towards ZRF. ZRF is an independent Organisation operating in the operational areas of ZRO.
ZRF therefore demands a clarification from the General Secretary of UPF as to why the Chairman of UPF may be expelled without unanimous decision.
